Thank you for your patience over the last few days and for the positivity and faith that you have shown in the school and we will continue to work together to resolve any concerns that were raised. As soon as I am able to share any news with you I will ensure that I do so.
Unfortunately, Miss Turner will not be at school between Monday 24th June and Tuesday 23rd July (although will be returning for the transition day on the 11th). In the meantime, Kingfisher class will be taught by Mrs Mouland and Mrs Wood, two adults that the children already know well.
Due to the wet weather this week we had to postpone our Key Stage 2 Sports Day on Wednesday. We will now be holding this on Thursday 27th June. Parents of children in Year 3 – 6 are invited to come and watch. It will start at 9.15am and finish at 11.30am. I look forward to seeing you there.
Below are the details of the class structure for September. There will be a transition day on Thursday 11th July when the children will spend the day with their new teacher. Further details of this will be sent out nearer the time.
Mr Straughan will be leaving our staff team at the end of this term and I would like to thank him for all the hard work and dedication that he has shown the children that he has looked after and wish him all the best in future ventures.
Mrs Gee is also leaving Sunny Bank for a headship and I would like to thank her for all the support and help that she has given me in settling in and her hard work as both Deputy Head and SENCO.
We look forward to welcoming Miss Baird who will be Sunny Bank’s new SENCO and Assistant Head.
Miss Murgetroyd and Miss Loughnane will be joining the staff team in September and I hope that you will also join me in congratulating Miss Bennett who is getting married over the Summer holidays and so will return as Mrs Martin.
As always I know that we can rely on all parents to support the school as a whole and particularly support the class teachers. We look forward to continuing to work with you to ensure the very best provision for each child.
Mr D Waters
Head of School
