I am writing to update you on a few things that are happening this term.
With COVID-19 so heavily in the news and with advice and perceptions of how to deal with it changing almost daily, I have sent out a letter to inform you of the actions that we are taking in line with Public Health England recommendations.
Currently Year 6 is experiencing a mock SATs week to prepare them for their end of school exams which will be taken in May this year. We are all super proud of their attitude and the effort that they are showing- well done year 6.
This week is also Science Week and I am looking forward to seeing all the experiments and investigations that the children are working on. Parents are invited in from 2:30pm today to see.
To see the progress that we have made and to ask questions regarding the role of TILT, there will be a Parent Forum in the hall on the 24th / 26th March during Parents Evenings. Samples of pupil’s work will be on display and myself and Mrs Wheeler (CEO) will be available to answer any questions/concerns that you may have.
As we are participating in the NSPCC’s ‘Crazy Hair’ day on Tuesday
31st March to raise money for the charity, we will not be participating in Sport Relief this year.
Easter - As Easter falls towards the end of the holiday we have decided to celebrate when we return. On Thursday 16th April we will be holding our Easter Bonnet Parade and our Easter service will be on Friday 17th April at 2pm.
We value the support and views of our parents and are always keen to listen to concerns or ways to improve the school. Please can I ask that you contact the school on either the office or headofschool emails (firstname.lastname@example.org) and refrain from posting negative comments on social media. If we work together we can ensure that the school improves.
