Swale Fusion Festival of Light 2019 Badgers, Woodpeckers, Kestrels and Adders

Early this term, an Art Workshop came into Sunny Bank Primary School and made Lanterns with Woodpecker and Badgers Classes. Kestrels and Adders, are taking part in a Drumming and Dance Workshop next Monday.

Your Child has been invited to take part in the third Swale Fusion Festival of Light Parade on Friday October 11th which has been organised by Kent Equality Cohesion Council in partnership with Cohesion Plus with the support of Swale Borough Council.

We shall be meeting at the top end of the High Street near the entrance of Wilkinson at 5:45pm. It is important you are on time so there is enough time to light everyone’s lanterns. The procession will commence just after 6.30pm and will go down the High Street via Roman Square, up to the Pelican Crossing on Avenue of Remembrance and finishing in Albany Park.

We are sorry but your child can only attend if accompanied by a Parent / Carer and those Parent / Carers walk alongside their children in the Parade. The school will not be responsible for any unaccompanied children.

Once the parade finishes and the schools have been thanked, you are free to take your child home although we hope you are able to stay and watch the Firework display.

The Outline of the programme is as follows:

5:45pm Children arrive at the top of the High Street- near the entrance of Wilkinson

6.30pm Parade Starts

7.00pm Parade arrives in Albany Park

7.10pm Firework Display

7.30pm Finish

Please note due to the public nature of the event there will be photographers in the parade and a camera man who will be making a short video and this will be used for publicity in the press and promotional purposes.

A copy of the original letter sent home to parents which includes a return slip can also be accessed HERE

Yours sincerely
