We have had an excellent start to the term and it appears that the children have returned with a real determination to impress and make the most of the learning opportunities provided to them. As somebody new to the school, I am excited to be working with such a dedicated and enthusiastic staff and have been made to feel extremely welcome by all. Having spent a week familiarising myself with the school I hope that together we can focus and create the best school possible for each individual child. With that in mind I would like to inform you of the following:
I have tried to meet as many parents as possible so far at the start and end of the day, however I would like to invite all parents to come and meet me over a cup of tea or coffee on Thursday 9th May.The forum will take place in the school hall: 1.30 – 2.15pm – Sunny Bank Site; 2.20 – 3.00pm Church Road Site. All parents are welcome and every parent on the day that attends will be entered into a draw. To win Little Potters vouchers.
As part of her training Miss England is required to teach a placement block at another school for two consecutive weeks. This has been arranged from Tuesday 7th May. I have decided that for this two weeks Otters and Wrens will be joined together for Mrs Warren to teach. The children are very familiar with Mrs Warren and so the consistency of their teaching and well-being can be maintained. The three learning support assistants will also be in the class to support the children. Due to this change, Wrens class assembly that was planned for Wednesday 8th May will be postponed. Instead there will be a joint class assembly for Otters and Wrens on Wednesday 22nd May at 2.30pm.
If you have any questions about the information above, please feel free to speak to me.
